• Graduate School - Master's in Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis in 1977

Work Experience:

After graduate school, I worked at Wabash Valley Hospital as an inpatient psychotherapist for 4 years.  Then, I worked the next 4 years in the outpatient department.  In both settings, I provided individual, group, family and marital therapy and counseling services.   Then in 1985, I went into private practice providing the same services.

Philosophy of Treatment:

Working in the field of mental health for 30 years has taught me the critical importance of learning and training in different approaches of psychotherapy. Each individual might want something different from therapy and my orientation is being flexible, open and willing to "meet each individual where they are and help them get to where they want to be."
